Where are the cabins at Sixty Eight North?
In private old-growth pine forest at Levi, Finnish Lapland, a quiet walk apart, fifteen minutes from Levi village and twenty-five minutes from Kittilä Airport.
How many guests can a cabin hold?
Each cabin sleeps two adults. A larger party books more than one cabin, or takes the retreat exclusively.
Can you see the northern lights from the cabins?
Yes, on clear nights when the aurora is active. The retreat sits in 78 hectares of private forest with no light pollution, fifteen minutes outside Levi village, and the aurora is visible from anywhere on the property, including from bed through the cabin skylights. Guests receive an alert to the cabin when the lights appear, through Northern Lights Alert. No one can promise the aurora on a given night.
Are meals included with a cabin stay?
Yes. The rate covers breakfast and lunch each day at the lodge, together with unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, linens, and the cabin stove kept warm for you. A home-cooked dinner is available by request as an optional extra.
When is the minimum stay?
Two nights. The retreat is open December through March; shorter stays don't give the forest the time it needs.
When is the retreat open?
December 1 through March 31. We close for the rest of the year; the weeks outside winter are our own time in the forest.
What does a cabin cost?
From €1,305 per cabin per night, inclusive of VAT. Booking and live availability are at booking.sixtyeightnorth.com.
Are pets welcome?
Sadly no. There are ground-nesting birds and small reindeer herds near the retreat that we would rather not disturb.
