getting to levi and sixty eight north.

The retreat is easier to reach than it looks on a map. A single flight, a short drive, a door that opens into a warm room. Here is how it works — and why we send a car rather than make you find us.

A long road curving through winter forest under a quiet sky.

the short version

Fly to Kittilä (KTT). Walk into the small arrivals hall. Look for a quiet sign with your name on it. Twenty minutes later, you are here. The airport transfer is included in every stay. The fuller route guide — by air, road, and rail — sits at getting here.

flights across our season (december – march)

We open 1 December and close 31 March, and Kittilä is one of the most connected airports in Finnish Lapland across those months. Typical seasonal direct services include:

  • London (LGW, STN) — British Airways, Jet2, TUI, easyJet · 3h 40m
  • Manchester (MAN) — TUI, Jet2 · 3h 45m
  • Paris (CDG, ORY) — Air France, Transavia · 3h 50m
  • Frankfurt (FRA) — Lufthansa, Discover · 3h 40m
  • Zürich (ZRH) — Edelweiss, Swiss · 4h
  • Amsterdam (AMS) — Transavia, Corendon · 3h 40m
  • Helsinki (HEL) — Finnair, Norwegian · 1h 25m (daily)

Direct routes come in around late November and ease off through March. We keep an informal watch on what's flying each winter and are happy to suggest which routing is most civilised for your date. A sentence in your enquiry is plenty.

the transfer, quietly

Your airport transfer from Kittilä Airport in Finnish Lapland is included as part of your stay, not offered as an upgrade.

We meet you on arrival and drive you to the retreat, located in the forest near Levi. The journey takes around 25 minutes, through quiet pine forest along a simple two-lane road.

During winter in Lapland, much of the drive is in darkness. That is part of arriving here.

There is no formal check-in on the way. No noise, no rush. Just a calm transfer from Kittilä Airport to the lodge.

When you arrive, the fire is already lit. There is something warm to drink, and time to settle in.

alternative airports in lapland

While Kittilä Airport is the closest option for reaching the retreat near Levi, there are other airports in Finnish Lapland to consider.

Rovaniemi Airport is a practical alternative, around two hours by road, and can sometimes offer better flight options or pricing. Ivalo Airport is further north, with a transfer time of approximately 2.5 hours.

We provide private transfers from Rovaniemi and Ivalo on request, available at an additional cost.

Some guests choose to combine routes when planning a Lapland itinerary, for example flying into Helsinki and out of Rovaniemi, or the other way around.
