dinner with a reindeer herder

the day itself

what to expect

Step into the heart of Lapland's culture through the traditions of reindeer husbandry, a way of life passed down through generations. You'll visit a 100-year-old reindeer cabin where stories of the past sit alongside present-day practice. The herder explains the rhythm of the reindeer year and how deeply it is bound to this land and the people who live here. A three-course dinner is then cooked over the open fire, using local produce: reindeer, game, fish, foraged mushrooms. Homemade and seasonal. The evening ends around the flames, surrounded by warmth, stories, and a taste of Lapland's living heritage.
