A figure on snowshoes pausing under a starlit sky in the arctic forest.

evening snowshoeing under the arctic skies

the day itself

what to expect

Evening snowshoeing is about slowing down and soaking up the quiet magic of Lapland after dark. You'll walk through untouched snow under a starry sky, sometimes lit by the moon, sometimes by the northern lights; the snow crunches softly under your feet, the forest feels still, and your headlamp catches the sparkle of ice crystals in the air. We'll stop at a campfire to sit beneath the arctic skies, sharing stories, warm drinks, and homemade dessert. This is not a northern lights hunting experience; however, the campfire location is one of the best places to view them if and when they appear.
