guidelines for staying with us.

A few simple notes on smoking, scent, shoes, and the small acts of care that keep the cabins quiet and the forest around them well. Practical, brief, and the same for everyone — so the retreat reads the same way for the next guest as it does for you.

Our retreat in Levi, Finnish Lapland is designed to stay quiet, clean, and comfortable for every guest. These guidelines help protect the cabins, the surrounding Arctic forest, and the experience of staying in Lapland.

smoking policy

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property at all times, including all indoor areas, bathrooms, bedrooms, and enclosed spaces.

We operate a zero tolerance policy. Any evidence of smoking, including smell or visible signs, will result in an immediate penalty charge.

This applies regardless of responsibility or explanation. Our assessment is final.

The charge may be up to €4,000 and covers professional cleaning, deodorising, potential damage, and loss of occupancy if required.

By staying with us, you agree to this policy in full.

scent free cabins

Our cabins in Finnish Lapland are scent free environments. Perfumes, colognes, essential oils, scented candles, incense, sprays, and strongly fragranced products are not permitted inside the cabins.

Many guests and team members are sensitive to scent, and fragrance is difficult to remove from natural wood interiors.

If this policy is not respected and deep cleaning, ozone treatment, or textile replacement is required, a charge of up to €4,000 may apply.

By confirming your stay, you agree to follow this policy.

shoes indoors

In line with Finnish custom, we ask all guests to remove their shoes when entering the cabin.

care of the cabin

We kindly ask guests to take care of the cabin and everything inside it.

If something breaks, please let us know. Small items are usually not charged when reported.

Please do not move furniture inside the cabin.

If you would like to purchase any items from the cabin, we can arrange this for you.

heating and windows

Please keep doors and windows closed while the heating system is running.

In Lapland winter conditions, cold air entering the cabin makes the system work harder and can affect the overall comfort inside.

Keeping everything closed helps maintain steady warmth and efficiency.

responsibility and damages

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay.

Any damage to the cabin or its contents may result in a charge to cover repair or replacement.

wildlife and nature

Our retreat is surrounded by forest in Finnish Lapland, home to local wildlife.

We kindly ask guests not to feed animals or leave food outside.

Feeding wildlife affects their natural behaviour and can harm the environment.

food and cooking

For safety reasons, cabins are not equipped for cooking or heating food.

This helps maintain a clean and scent free environment.

Meals are taken at the lodge, where the long table and outdoor dining areas sit.

These guidelines are simple, but important.

They help us keep the retreat in the condition you expect when you arrive, and for every guest who comes after.
